Barry Keith Odell provides at least one free consultation to a prospective client with a question or issue regarding an area of law in of his practice. His free consultation with the prospective client creates no obligation on his part or on the part of the prospective client seeking consultation, nor does it constitute the providing of legal services.
Prospective clients are not clients of the firm, meaning clients of Barry Keith Odell, unless and until the prospective client and Barry Keith Odell enter into an engagement letter, which is an attorney-client representation contract and fee agreement which establishes the terms of and any limitations of the representation.
The prospective client is requested not to send Barry Keith Odell a message containing confidential information, but should be prepared to discuss the general nature of the prospective client’s issue or problem during the consultation.
The consultation will usually take place on Zoom, but may occur by telephone.
He takes cases on a contingent fee basis in appropriate instances in accordance with IRS Circular 230 and federal case law. The client will be responsible for all costs incurred in contingent fee cases unless otherwise agreed to by him and the client in a written fee agreement.
He also takes cases at an hourly fee rate appropriate to the engagement. The client will be responsible for all fees and costs for each engagement, unless agreed to otherwise by him and the client in a written fee agreement.
